I have conflicting info on this. Can you use a manual mach 1 ecu to control an auto? Or does it have to be an auto ecu?

I have some people saying yes, and others saying no.

Whats weird is I can get almost all of the auto tuning tables to show up in SCT's tuning software. But I am missing shift scheduling and trans pressure.

Any insight from someone who has actually done it would be greatly appreciated.

I have never done the swap personally, but I'm pretty sure you will need an ECU from an Auto if you are going to install a 4R70 transmission into a manual car, or use the Manual ECU and install a seperate controller for the Auto. I think if you were going the other way around, converting a car originally with an Auto and going with a Manual transmission, then you could still use the Auto ECU in the car and swap the auto trans for a manual one.

Thanks. I just bought an auto ECU from an 04 gt for dirt cheap. So I'll give that one a try.
