yep, but it has the cast crank and turns about 1000 less rpm

My friend is thinking of buying one....but one of the salesmen is telling him that an HD F-150 can take an automatic Mach1. I didn't believe this.
Any truth to that?

Not unless that truck can turn low 14's or high 13's. And I highly doubt that one!! Tell him he is nuts!

I thought I read somewhere in some Truck magazine where they compared the HD F-150 with the heavy hitters from Dodge and Chevy.

That sounds optimistic. The Machs and L's are solid low 13sec. cars. I would guess the HD is mid 14's if that.
