None of our RXT's have ever chattered. Even after being driven like this.

A warped flywheel will however definitely play a role in that though which is why we recommend putting in a new flywheel at the time you're installing a new clutch assembly.

    Hope that helps.

I don't believe my flywheel is warped and I am going to replace the insert so I'm starting fresh. Don't believe I should have an issue. I just like to keep the same manufacturer for all like parts. Having a Spec flywheel mated with a McLeod clutch isn't how I would have done it if money weren't an issue due to all the other work I'm having done to the tranny.

I am looking forward to this clutch as I was very unhappy with my previous choice. So many people happy with it that its making me more comfortable with this decision.

Is a shim required with a Fidanza flywheel?

is it really worth upgrading to a mcleod or fidanza aluminum flywheel when the 03-04 cobra have an aluminum flywheel from the factory? i am also thinking about picking up an rxt from lethal while they have the $100 deal going on.

best just to get the whole Mcleod clutch package with aluminum flywheel for $1255. or the mcleod clutch for $899 and then a fidanza aluminum flywheel? any difference?

I haven't used either the McLeod or Fidanza flywheel, but seems to me if you are looking at either of them, I would go with McLeod since you are going to use their clutch and get the bonus of the $100 gift card to Lethal. If you don't get the McLeod flywheel with the McLeod clutch, you don't get the gift card.

Depends. For some reason mine needed one. If the front disk (flywheel side) does not spin easily by hand you will need one. Call Mcleod to get one if so.

Why no drag racing with the RST? If I ever plan on launching the car on the street I shouldn't go with the RST? Seems kind of ridiculous to say dont "drag race" with this 800hp capable twin disc clutch. What about power shifting? I understand the discs are different but:
Doesnt seem to be a problem...

I thought I had seen a handful of RST failure threads but I cant seem to find any now. Figures I post in here a month ago and my clutch was fine and now its slipping
