Cleaned up the 03 Mach 1 heads today. They were pretty damn clean to start with. Here's some before and after pictures. Still gotta find an adapter lid or I'll be forced to use the C lid.

I removed and cleaned all the valves, replaced the valve seals, reassembled the heads, and got all of my seals and gaskets in the mail. I went Fel-Pro for everything from RockAuto. Two weeks ago I ordered the intake adapter lid so I can keep my B lid, intake, EGR, and throttle/cruise cables. Here's a couple pictures of one of the heads all cleaned up.

Great deal on the tires. Where did you get the adapter to use the b lid on the C heads? Are you going to use the B cams?

Yeah, I couldn't skip that deal on the tires... I ordered the adapter from USMC53CHIEF. He said it would take 2 - 4 weeks... I'm using my original B cams. After a dyno tune I'm hoping to make 315 - 325 RWHP with my mods.

Put in some work this weekend and tonight. Finally got the refreshed heads installed on the block. Now I have to pull the bad engine out of my Mustang so I can finish assembling the engine going in. Each day I'm inching closer. Can't wait to be back on the road again!

Looks good! I know this is a longshot but do you still have the air tubes for the front of the exhaust manifolds? If so, would you be interested in selling them to me?

Thanks!

Almost done with the engine. Got the timing chains on, installed a GT500 oil pump with the steel backing plate, and installed the Lethal Performance Gen. 2 head cooling mod. I want to get my intake manifold, valve covers, and timing cover powdercoated this week. I got the intake manifold lid adapter in so hopefully I'll have everything back in within two weeks. After that I'll have to figure out the OSS/VSS issue with the TR3650 by finding a SpeedCal or figuring out a Dakota Digital SGI-5E. Oh yeah, then a tune.

I have been working a couple hours here and there and I'm almost done. Got the engine and transmission in, put 3.2 qts. of Amsoil synthetic ATF in the trans, 7 qts. of Mobil 1 Advanced synthetic 5W-30 in the engine, and everything is installed except for the coolant crossover. I drilled new holes in the frame rails for the TR3650 install (I also had to dent the cat shield because it was contacting the mount). That I have to weld new tabs on to work with the C head alternator bracket. I'd like to get the crossover powdercoated to match the intake manifold, but I might not have the time as I really want to get it done by this Friday. I ran into a couple issues so far; one of the new exhaust manifold studs broke and none of my EZ outs were grabbing it hard enough to get it out so I had to drill it out, I broke a stud on the starter solenoid so I had to order a new solenoid, and I broke one of the EGR bolts and had to drill it out and use a larger bolt. Hopefully all goes well when I start it in a couple days.

I started to fill up the coolant and I heard it pouring on the ground behind the passenger side head. So I had to remove my intake manifold again to see if I could determine if it was the heater core hose or the metal fitting. I'm happy to say that it was only the hose. There are sharp studs sticking out of the bracket securing the accumulator to the firewall. I must have punctured the hose on one of them when I installed the engine. New hose was ordered and installed last night. Unfortunately the rain stopped me from finishing.

Started it up last night for about 20 seconds just to hear it run. The engine seems fine, but the clutch cable is very tight, the clutch pedal vibrates, the throwout bearing chirps, and when I push the clutch pedal down everything stops. I'm going to order the MM clutch cable kit soon.
