you could run 11.50's relatively easily with the auto. some suspension, tire, intake/tune should get you into the 11's. add a bit more power and you got .50's

If you want to go 11.50's your going to need a good tune, converter, off road x or h, drag radials, that and some decent air. If you want to go .50s pretty much all the time then add a Boss intake to that. If you want to go 11.2ish then add a one piece drive shaft, light weight wheels, unhook or delete the front sway bar. Hope that helps!

My car and it's mods as of 1/28/14.

2013 Deep Impact Blue Mustang GT, automatic. Steeda lower control arms, GT 500 axle backs, BAMA tune, Nitto 275/40/17 NT05R drag radials, Airaid CAI, BBK 1 3/4" Long tube headers, BBK catted X pipe. On 1/3/14 my PB is 11.97 @ 114.97

*********************************

A torque converter around 3200-3500 gets me closer to 11.5.

On the 11.97 run the tune shifted great from 1-2, 2-3, however from 3-4 the rpms dropped off a couple thousand. So if the tune was spot on throughout the tune I may be in the 11.8's. That, plus a good torque converter puts me real close to 11.5.

The Nitto's aren't what I really expected, and my 60' on the 11.97 was 1.849. Better drag radials should put me in the 1.7's. So that, plus a perfect tune, plus the torque converter puts me closer to breaking the 11.5.

The weather in the 11.97 was around -800 DA. I only run between October through April. I won't beat on the car during a hot Texas summer.

No doubt there are ways to get a bolt on 11.5 without cam/heads, nitrous, or some sort of power maker such as turbos, superchargers.

Good luck, from another old school guy.

These cars are so easy to put in the 11's it's crazy. You are definitely making the right choice by going with an auto if you plan on drag racing the car. I have a 2012 GT with an auto, 4C converter, 3.73's, BBK longtubes and 3"X-pipe, JLT cold air, aluminum driveshaft, racestar bigs and skinnies, and of course a good tune. Best pass on motor is 11.48 @ 118 with a 1.60 60, I sprayed it this past weekend with a 100 shot and went 10.66 @ 126.98 with a 1.49 60, this was on a set of MT slicks.
