what time were you planning on being there?

i'd like to do a real 1/4 mile instead of letting off after redlining third - and STILL going under 13.99. :(

It feels great to know they will not be rubbing your number out after a good run. There is enough to think about when running the 1/4 -- remembering to SLOW DOWN or DON"T SHIFT TO 4th adds toos many things to the process.

They had started warning me the last time I was there. You can only say 'Oops my bad!' so many times before they say
:cuss: :nono: :burn:
As PModdie said, once we got in the 12's they pulled the rule book and started checking out my roll bar in detail. I have to get the crossbar before the next time I go there. I was declared illegal and was being tossed before the head tech stepped in and suggested that the inspector be a little friggin reasonable.

On the Ford vs Chebby -- In my opinion they kicked our butts.
Four of the fastest Fords red-lighted back to back, by less than .005 seconds, and then ran great runs -- for nothing. :loser: It was like a disease got us. In brackets, I dialed at 12.97 ET for the bracket racing, then hooked for the first time and broke out with a 12.83 -- the Chebby broke out too, but only by .10 second so he went on. :loser:
All good fun of course...

DA will be down to the low 4000' range by then. No more of this 6000' stuff. Everybody will be running a couple of tenths quicker. Easy 11's for everybody. Now if those 26 spline input shafts would come out so I could replace Mr slippy by then .....

Thanks for making sure there is no pressure on anyone, Dean.;-)

PModdie, Dean, what if a group of us set up our own little bracket thang? Everyone throws in $5 -- person who gets furtherest gets the monay... Have a formula to determine winner if the remaining folks all get eliminated on same round.

Or we could do a 'grudge headsup', same thing... problem there being the wide disparity in power.

You talk about a slow learner!

Remember that day of private stuff at LACR? The Vert got launched 21 times. I did around 8 or 9 of them.

At FAMOSO I launched at least 12 times.

Maybe that is why my TOB squeals like the pig my Vert is :??:

dont you have swapped cams dean?

Nope. I refered to a cam swap in progress recently but that was for my 92.

jhwalker,

We could allow some handicapping I suppose if that will help richen the pot. Black verts would be allowed to run the blower of their choice, white coupes would be allowed to change their mods as many times as they wanted during the race, etc.
