I'm after reporting on battery performance and the cluster of keeping them charged.

If that things weight distribution is ~50/50, it should do well in the snow with the correct tires.
That is what I meant rather than the driving. Your right though, it should do well in the snow.

We deliver will never be Fords moto. How do they decide what to produce now? Lottery for a GT, 1 year plus wait on a Bronco, superduty trucks in short supply, GT500 is all but impossible to get at MSRP. However, they have a glut of something that apparently the public doesn't want.

The dwell time for a Mach E is roughly 7 days. That is an extremely short time for a vehicle to be on the lot. The Mach-E is selling quite well. Ford originally forecasted selling around ~50k units for 2021 and they exceeded that already. Ford is considering delaying the upcoming BEV Explorer/Aviator to expand output of the Mach E. Likewise, Ford is expanding the output of the Mach E in the next few years. That hardly sounds like a flop to me.

Dwell time on most SUV’s ain’t shit right now. At least around me.

I don't have any business in that area. The best you can probably hope for for cold weather testing is Detroit.

Oh, I'm not hoping for anything. I can't stand ev's or their propaganda.

I threw it out there because you were going to test it... in Florida.

Another case of Ford shoving shit down the public's throat.

Funny how people are stating that the public doesn't want Mach-E's, yet didn't Ford just announce they're gearing up for 200,000 units a year?

That happens to be where I have the most business coming up.

Have you seen Ford's truck ordering commercial on your TV? You build it on paper the way you want it, order it, and a couple of months later you take delivery. When I saw that commercial I immediately thought that maybe Ford will expand custom ordering to other vehicles. I doubt ALL vehicles will be special orders, but it could be a majority. The next year will be interesting to follow.

I didn't hear that, but IMO if it's true then they're taking a big risk. If the public doesn't respond to the supply they'll end up, well, on lots gather dust.

That is not surprising. The Mach-E is on a global platform that is exported to many different markets. Obviously a portion of the units being built will be allocated for markets outside of the US. Ford is a multinational company. I am not sure how you can argue the Mach-E is the "Edsel of our generation" when the time spent on a lot is 7 days. The dealers aren't even paying floorplan interest on these Mach-E, they are selling that fast. If it was selling poorly, they wouldn't be delaying the launch of the Explorer/Aviator BEV to expand production of the Mach-E.

Finally, there is absolutely no point in comparing the sales of the Camaro with the Mach-E as they compete in two completely different segments.

5000 are sitting on lots right now. The Bolt was the "Tesla Killer" before the Mach E. How is that working out.

When do you take delivery of yours? It is funny how all of the biggest EV simps that I know drive ICE cars with no plans to buy an EV.

Anyone who thinks there's no demand is brain dead. When was the last time the ICE Mustang sold 200k units in a year? It's probably been decades.

"We have unprecedented demand for Mustang Mach-E and we are going to scale production quickly to meet demand," Ford spokesperson Emma Bergg said in a statement.

WoW. The slave labor required to produce enough lithium for 600k units in a year is spectacular. Poor kids!

How many Ford dealerships are in the US again? Around 3000? 5000 sitting on the lot is nothing. That is very low inventory. You aren't really making a convincing case that the "Mach-E is the Edsel of our generation." The Mach-E is growing more than 3x than the overall EV segment. There were MSRP increases mid-MY and for MY2022. Sorry bro, the Mach-E is not a failure.

While the Mach-E might be getting the headlines, Ford is centering its strategies along their strengths - commercial vehicles. The BEV Transits & F150s will be the real drivers of growth in Ford's future product portfolio. BEVs have much lower cost of ownership and maintenance and that is why the commercial vehicles are being electrified. ICE is about to be dead. No major supplier or OEM is making significant investments in new platforms or engines.

BTW, which BEV vehicle have you driven?

I contemplated a tesla and had a p100d for a day. I beat the SHIT out of it too. It handled very strangely given the weight and center of gravity and I did not really care that it was fast as it was given how clinical the experience was.

They are gay.

Edsel sold 68k in its first year of production.

Are we still pretending this is a 2 door muscle car? Lmao. They could be right or their “Field of Dreams” economics may come crashing down on them.

Either way, they haven’t yet sold 200k of this electric crossover either.

Electric F-150 is where the real volume will be. They just need to expand the lineup into to work-truck configurations. Electric Transit will move well too.
