My 02 Gt was doing something similar. I replaced the front 02's with Bosch sensors and then a few months later the car started running bad. I have an A/F gauge in the Drivers side exaust pipe and it was reading ok and the car would set the CEL but it would run like hell. I finally decided to replace the passenger 02 sensor with a Motorcraft unit and voila it's fixed. I have yet to replace the drivers side 02 sensor but it is on my list of stuff do soon. I am speculating that the passenger side 02 was reading incorrectly because there were a few times that I got a misfire code from Bank 1 running too rich that it was trying to foul the plugs on that side and then the drivers side bank ran perfectly. I am not saying this is your issue but if you aftermarket 02 sensors then you may want to look in to it.

Thanks for the input. But it has new Motorcraft O2 sensors in it now. Along with a new motor, and it runs beautifully. I never did get a definite answer about it, but my issues have since been resolved.

That's awesome that it is fixed now. I hope you enjoy it as much as I would. It is a really nice looking car and you did an amazing job with conversion.

I installed a Magnaflow Catted X, along with a Speed Of Sound pillar gauge pod with an AEM wideband and an Aeroforce Interceptor gauge. Trying to keep it as low key as I can, but it gets difficult sometimes.

I also ran my buddy in his H/C/I/E C6 Z06 while I was on high boost (22-23lbs) and on street tires, he got the initial hit because he was on DR, I had to play catch up, but shut it down at 150. That car is no slouch.

My 2.6" upper coupled with the stock lower gets about 23lbs of boost and tapers off to 22 on the top end.

I also took a run up the street on low boost with my buddy in the passenger seat. He seemed to like it.

I've been having boost withdrawls being away from the car and all, so I threw together a little video of the car's evolution. I hope you enjoy!

awesome video you put together and amazing swap. Like others have said its badass that you left the GT body panels and badges, a true sleeper!

Plus I must say you kept your work area VERY clean in every picture... Your attention to detail is meticulous!

Time to break radio silence. The 2.3 Whipple has served me well over the past 6 years, but it's time to upgrade. What started out as a simple input shaft/clutch/control arm install has quickly snowballed into an all-out project. This is the first time the motor has been out of the car since 2013, but it's time for a Gen4 2.9 crusher to sit atop the mill. I'll update this thread as I go, but it's looking good so far.

Engine ready to be removed.

Time to see how the old blower looks.

That Dragon is pretty beefy, but the 2.9 Crusher is a monster!

This thing is an absolute unit! I can't wait to see what it does!
