Well, after an insane amount of work, this car is up to my standards top to bottom, inside and out. I don’t want to spoil the video, so I’ll post info about the car later in this thread. It was raining yesterday when I finished, so no outside shots...

Here it is:

Cool, but after 3 minutes of teasing in the vid, I was hoping for something new though like a 93R, 95R, 95 2 top etc.
Why were you seeking a third?

Car looks nice and clean though, enjoy it.

Had to mute the vid, Disturbed is unbearable and they ruined that tune.:(

looks showroom new

Thank you sir! I easily have 100 hours getting the car to look like it does. It was parked and forgotten (neglected).

That is sweet and this one is more of a virgin than what you've got. Buster Hymen got no where near either one of these cars.

That’s funny! :p

You’re wife must be like, “do whatever the **** you want”. That’s awesome and I’m jelly

She is very understanding of my “illness!” :D

I wasn’t “seeking a third.” I planned to keep my first one forever. I then stumbled upon #2, which looks absolutely new with 4600 miles... had to have it! I then stumbled upon this last one and was shocked there was one out there with so few miles. I thought it would be neat to have both color changing Cobras with each under 500 miles.

I actually thought I’d keep both 04s, having #2 as an occasional driver, but I really don’t need 2 of the same car. I’ll post a sales ad soon. The car is in incredible condition. In fact, they both are almost identical in condition.

As for Disturbed, my wife and I hit their concert a couple weeks ago... absolutely AWESOME! The Sound Of Silence was insane live!

When I grow up, I hope to one day be like you and have that kind of garage lol. Beautiful MC vert brotha, and under 500 miles that’s insane, congrats man!

And now that you posted this, I will be following your instructions you gave me yesterday and will be cleaning the dust off mine and washing it lol. Oh, and I’ll start that turbo build thread today as well;)

I completely understand you Goose. I have the exact same illness.

Even some of my friends don't understand why I have 3 new edge Mustangs and my 65.

I know I can't drive them all at the same time, but knowing they are there to admire and drive when I want is definitely a cool thing!

I just need a garage like you and @TK1299 .

And you're right Disturbed is bad@$$ for sure.

Congrats on the new addition!

That's a whole lot of beautiful in one place! If you had a quarter for every guy who wished he was you....very cool.

Thanks for all the great comments guys. This car wore me out... long days and nights.

Great cover song and amazing vehicle. True collector grade. I’d be scared to drive it!

I bought my 400 mile 96 Mystic last June and only drove it one time to get it inspected for registration. This latest Mystichrome vert will live a cushy climate controlled life.

Great video, I got chills when it flashed the mileage. I too have a disease, I don’t need a doctor for it though. Beautiful cars and garage, your hard work is very evident.

Ok, so now the “cat is out of the bag,” here is the story and pics that didn’t make it to the video. A few months back, someone posted a screen shot on a Mystichrome owners group on Facebook to this 500 mile vert for sale in the state of Washington. I tracked the dealer down from their plate that they put on the car. I got a young salesman and asked all about it. It sounded lovely, but the price I initially was told was "sliding." He called back later and said the seller (car was on consignment) wanted more than I was originally quoted. Negotiations went back and fourth for awhile and I kept getting pulled higher. I finally had enough and drew a line in the sand. The seller then came down to within $500 of my price, but I was going no higher. About a month later, I was contacted and told the car was mine for my previous offer. I asked many questions about the car, specifically on the condition of the paint and Mystichrome interior. I was assured all was lovey and it all looked great in the distant pics/vids that I received. I wired the $ and waited for shipment. I waited and waited and of course it finally comes the night my wife and I are both out of town at a Metallica concert in Littlerock! My oldest son was home and received it. Once I got home and saw the condition, I was less than pleased to be polite. The paint needed a TON of correction as did the wheels. The good news is the Mystichrome interior looked like it had never been sat in, which is good since it is irreplaceable I ended up doing EIGHT rounds of paint correction with my orbital buffer and various compounds. Each one took hours, but in the end, I was tickled pink that all of the issues were resolved. The paint now looks fantastic. I also hit the chrome wheels with chrome polish using my drill and a wool pad. Once again, they came out fantastic! The engine bay and undercarriage took a couple long days, but they now look new as well.
The info I got post sale (spoke briefly with the seller) was an elderly gentleman bought the car in August of 2004. He had planned to enjoy the car. Life and health issues got in the way and the car was basically parked and forgotten (i.e. neglected). At first I was not too happy with the salesmen since I felt like he purposely hid pertinent info, but in the end, he really did me a favor. Had I seen the car in person, I would never have bought it for the price I paid. It was a diamond in the rough, but now it shines like a new diamond and I am quite happy with the purchase.

As for car number 2, which is now for sale. This car is absolutely stunning! It rivals my 500 mile #3 in many ways. I planned to keep this one forever and have only driven it on rare occasions. I did a full bottom detail on the car and had visions of handing it down to my kids some day. I considered keeping it as an occasional driver, but I really don't need 2 of the same car. I plan to post a sales ad for it soon. This will free up some cash and a space so I can be ready for something dark red with black stripes and a ridiculously awesome carbon fiber fin!

On to the pics:

The top looked fantastic, which I protected while slinging correction compound all over:

I even corrected and polished the trim!

Half way through the process, I had to pull both 04s out to get the new one on the lift. I snapped a couple pics:

One item that had a little damage was the shift knob... it had a little "ding" in the metal top, which was unacceptable for this car. I sourced a NOS knob and put it in the car. The other item I bought and awaiting shipment is a new hood insulation blanket, which is still made by Ford. The original had some marks on it.

In the trunk was the front license plate bracket (fortunately the bumper was never drilled). Also in the trunk was a car cover, a duster and original Mustang mud flaps (option) still in their sealed plastic bag.

I spent considerable time (days) detailing every nook and cranny I could see or reach with a rag on a paint stick. The bottom looks almost new!

The interior blew me away! This Mystichrome interior is rare and those that need a "redo" are out of luck... there was one initial batch of color-changing leather made and it's all gone now... and cannot be successfully recreated.
