My son has autocrossed once, including driving my old autocross '92 LX that I still beat hell out of on road courses. His uncle bracket-races his Porsche Cayenne with some success, and considers himself quite the wheelman. Now I have him thinking of bringing it out to an autocross. My son's message FTW

With only one autox event under his belt, it's anyone's bet!

A friend of mine does some spirited sideroads driving with his Cayenne and says it absolutely eats rear brake pads from the brake actuated LSD and stability control, might want to order a spare set.

Some scca regions might have issues with a Cayenne autocrossing w/ regards to center of gravity/unfounded SUV stereotypes, but PCA events tend to be more lenient; definitely get confirmation from the organization beforehand.
