When they say “common sense gun control” I worry.

This is the type of knee jerk reactionary policy that you don't want. If guns were truly the problem, Idaho and Alaska would have the highest crime rates in the US. After all, those two states have the highest gun ownership rate. Now obviously high crime rates in those states due to guns isn't the case and most of these crimes happen in the downtown core of big cities. Why is that? It is incredibly naive to think more laws will stop crimes like this, especially when existing laws failed to work.

Great so people can just say " oh they are mean" and you lose your guns...dont think for one second that your neighborhood gun hater wont throw your name out just cuz they can

This will certainly be abused...and last we forget there is now due process and is unconstitutional

Red flag laws are the equivalent of the Salem witch trials.
    They are Pre-crime, Thought crime.
Someone accuses someone of being a danger and the law comes along to kick in your door, shoot your dog, arrest you and take away your rights.
    DUE PROCESS!!!

What defines a threat? Who defines what a threat is?
If you're in New Jersey or California does supporting Fox news make you a terrorist? Does believing in the Constitution make you a terrorist?

In this day and age I imagine all it would take is a MAGA hat.

Yeah, let's abridge people's rights over something they might do. What could go wrong?

Eventually the entire US will have red flag and firearm laws similar to NY,CT, MA and CT, 10 round mag limits and ban on certain semi-auto rifles. If they enact a Federal RF law I hope there is some oversight by an objective and educated third-party.

Will shoot to kill any uninvited guest to my castle. That’s not a threat but a promise.

I see these laws getting more cops killed than massacres stopped.

Hard to imagine such a huge pile of stupid in a single country.

Sad part is we don’t have to imagine it.

Girl finds out her boyfriend is sleeping with her sister.... she confronts him, they get into an argument, he leaves upset.... she calls cops, "He's so angry and hostile... and he has guns!!!"... cops show up, bust down door, kill the family dogs, kill the boyfriend.....

Better yet... guy wears MAGA hat, posts pictures online of his new shotgun.... liberal neighbor see's the post, calls cops.... "A white nationalist racist has guns... I'm scared!"... cops show up... you see where this is going.

I see this being seriously misused! There is absolutely no reason, at all, for the government to have this kind of "pre-crime" control, and shame on any officer or law enforcement agency that supports it.
