Navigator crank in a 01 Cobra

I remember reading somewhere that the Lincoln Navigator crank is the same as the 01 cobra forged crank. Can anyone confirm? I had a recent thread about a rebuild and am in need of a new crank. I don’t want to be nearly 3k+ down for a stroker build. If it is possible what years are recommended to have the forged crank?

No comment on a navi crank in a cobra.

But all 8 bolt cranks are forged.

Thank you! But can you confirm or know if any of these cranks would work in a teksid block??

I'm with Travis. I'm pretty sure the 5.4 crank doesn't work, but I don't know.
The stroke on a 5.4 is 4.17
The longest stroker crank I can find for a 4.6 based engine is 3.75

The aviators crank will work. It uses a 4.6 in the mid 2000s

5.4s have a taller deck height of 10.079 inches from crank centerline to top of the deck and 4.6s have a 8.937 inch deck height . Stock stroke in a 4.6 is 3.543 inches and 5.4s use a 4.165 inch stroke.

Sorry. Should have read the OP better. The navigator won’t work.

Unless I was running a big blower I wouldn’t hesitate to run a cast crank. They’re pretty stout and not given much credit they’re a good bit lighter too

There are tons of 4.6 forged cranks
Allanual.mach 1s had one. All terminators had one.
If you're staying na these motors won't make enough power to need one

Yes I looked into the mach1 crankshaft I can’t find any of the forged ones but I found the 6 bolt cranks that I’m assuming is a cast, they can work in my car correct? Would just need to get the clutch and flywheel obviously to match with. It correct?

In one of my 4.6 books, it says some of the Mustang GTs had non-forged 8-bolt cranks.

If your going through all the trouble of breaking your engine down clear to the crank I would go shovel snow and save extra money and just put a forged crank in for Pete sake. Especially since there is a good chance you’ll need some type of machining work done as well.
