OP, is the neighbor that called the police an old hag that doesn't like people on their law?

If your brother is driving past parking spots that are closer to your house and parking there I can see the neighbors getting annoyed. I think they should have just talked to you instead of calling the police. I would have him park as close to your house as he can and let it be.

Talk to your neighbors like adults. Ask them what their issue is and come to some sort of agreement.

You say the truck is legally parked, do you own the end of the street or the land it's parked in front of? What does your hoa say about extra vehicles? I'm still of the mind vehicles should be parked in the garage or driveway not in front of the neighbors land.

Exactly. Don't people have social skills anymore? Have a civil conversation with the neighbors and hopefully they are rational and understanding people. But it seems these days, people are terrified to talk to their neighbors and just wait until they overreact by calling the cops.

Bring a peace offering too, while you're at it. Nice chocolate pudding pie will neutralize even the most hardened neighbor.

Guessing you have some comprehension issues. What part of when he said parking is limited in front of his house, leads you to believe parking in front of his is an option?

I comprehend just fine, too me op is using it as an excuse to park some where other than in front of his house.
If it is true he needs to take care of the parking issues in front of his own house before parking his shit in front of someone else's.
That or talk to the home owner first and explain the situation he is in.

Common courtesy goes a long way, its just to bad this world is turning in to a bunch self entitled pricks that don't think of others.

Nah man, obviously OP's brother willing parks down the street ignoring the option to park in front of his own place just because.

I have an area with $250k townhomes that are street only parking, and the ones next to that, have a single driveway space and not even a garage.
It's that number supposed to impress? For 250k I'd expect shitty street parking in a shitty neighborhood.

Wow this blew up rather quickly. I absolutely love how I have become the asshole in the situation though even though I am not the one who falsified information to the police.

To answer the two burning questions that have been brought up repeatedly, No my brother can not park in front of my house or in the driveway. Currently his mini is taking up one space and the other is taken by my pop up which will be moving in about a month or two to another location. This forces my wife and I to park in the street. To further complicate the issue one of my other neighbors parks in front of my house as well most of the time, which I am fine with.

As others have also read as well as pointed out my street is extremely busy and a few driveways aren't actually large enough for say a large SUV and a full size truck so many park on the street. Luckily it is wide enough for people to do so.

I actually talked to a neighbor from across the street about the situation and have confirmed what I suspected, these are not rational thinking people. These individuals have actually made some rather wild accusations of others that live next to and across from them to include claiming that one of them is a peeping tom and was scoping out their backyard whilst jumping on a trampoline playing with their children. With stuff like this flying around these are not the type of people I want to attempt to have an adult conversation with but I may be forced to.

I do appreciate the advice given but I think I will just have to let the issue die or let them continue to call the police over the situation in hopes that they are eventually talked to about false reports.

Maybe its time to take the mini to a shop if its taking months, and causing issues with your neighbors.

As I said, just keep doing what you need to do as long as you aren't breaking the law. They didn't have the balls to come talk to you, I seriously doubt they will mess with the truck or anything else of yours.

I've witnessed plenty of people without balls mess or attempt to mess with cars. Several of my exes actually.

god women will **** up a car in a hurry, wont they? Had that potential issue arise quite a few times. Had to have my brother come pick up my cars from work, etc etc.

This thread is boring. It was more fun before Brad came in and axed it up.

But for those keeping track, Vic owes me $1.

Huh? The entire point is there are a few newly built neighborhoods with townhomes that offer no parking options other than in front of the units. I'm greatly impressed that buys a shanty in your area I guess.

I can't recall ever having a contingency of a place being that any vehicle associated with me must fit with the confines of my property no matter the size. Despite the street being public parking.

Common courtesy would be talking to OP's brother instead of calling in a false police report.

Maybe he can just deduct it from the UN sanctioned reparations, lol.
