Hi everyone! Just joined up here yesterday, I have this awesome 96 that I bought with 66,000 miles on just a few months ago. I put a BBK chrome air intake system on it as well as Flowmaster 40 series exhaust, MSD coil packs, MSD 8.5 Super conducter wires, NGK Iridium plugs, Gatorback belt thats also used on Nascars. Upgraded the stereo with a Kenwood Ipod ready receiver and 6 by 8 's all the way around inside, tinted windows a new oil cooler and water resivour.

I made this my everyday driver and love every minute of it! As you can all see my screen name is corvetteman39 as I have had a 2000 Corvette for like 7 years now and still own it but have always wanted a Cobra as well I got this one for $6000 which I think was an awesome deal. I will post some more pics later of my motor and some of my interior.

Looks good man, I'm not a huge fan of the stripe but hell for the price you paid you cant complain thats an awesome deal!! Let us know how you like the MSD coil packs, I have heard nothing but bad things about them now.

Put some big gears in there and then you will really love it!

Nice purchase! Not a huge fan of the hood or stripes but it definitely looks like a clean car especially for the price!

That is a really nice looking '96. I don't usually go for stripes but on your car they really look nice. Maybe it's the color stripes that were used. It goes really well with the white paint. Better than black stripes for sure. Enjoy it! The only thing I would recommend is that you lower it a bit. That will take this fine ride over the edge, looks wise.

Thanks for all the comments, yes the stripes were already on it when I got it, actually I thought they looked good on this car and I'm not usually a fan of them either. I saw a set of Bullit wheels on ebay with the same color as the stripes on the spokes and a chrome lip that I thought would look tight as hell on my car.

Also yes I do want to lower it cause I noticed at about 130 mph she gets a little squirly on me. Lovin the MSD coil packs right now as well, they made it idle alot smoother and my starts are quicker. I would love to put some headers and an X pipe on her and get rid of cats then go with a programmer, nothing major yet cause of my Vette project I have going on right now so some of my modding on the Cobra had to stop for now.

I actually really like the stripes. It is different and looks good on your car. My suggestions are to take the rear spoiler off, put a stock cobra hood on (with no hood pins), definately lower her, and go with some anthracite FR500's. Congrats on the new car! Do you have any pictures of the inside or the engine?

I'll take some before I go to work here in a bit and post them up tomorrow or Saturday. I haven't cleaned my interior yet because we've had such a harsh winter here, super cold and alot of snow and ice.

It looks like you got a good deal on a clean 96. Drop into the SN95 Cobra board if you are looking for any tech info.

Ok will do, thanks alot. We have quite a few Mustag guys around here locally with Cobras, GT's, supercharged Fox's, and even a Shelby GT350 and 500. I'm pouring alot into my vette right now, then it'll be done as I'll have about $20,000 into it all together, then I will start on the Cobra, but I gotta ease into it cause the wife has been freakin out on how much I'm spending on the Vette this time, between $5000 and $7000.
