Finally got a day off from work to hit the track. Ran my new best, which is nothing special to you Cobra, Lightning, LS1...folks, but a 14.5 was my goal and I hit it.

First run after the twenty minute drive and the fifteen minute wait in the inspection line:
60' 2.110
330 6.067
1/8 9.342 @ 74.42mph
1000 12.157
1/4 14.526 @ 97.76mph

Not bad, considering my old best was a 15.0 @ 92mph. Added the intake and tune this time and pulled my passenger-side fog light (JLT fenderwell). That was my best run of the night. It got cold out (<50 degrees) and, consequently, traction for the non-AWD/slicks folk was at a premium, even with burnouts. Even I, with my measly '96 GT, was getting sideways on the launch with 315 DR's. I also had a 14.981 @ 98.40mph, my best trap. Do my traps seem high to anyone else? I'm certainly no expert, so constructive feedback would be much appreciated. Thanx:beer:

I would think that 98mph would net better than 14.9..........Anyone else??

Interesting!! Glad you had a good time. That's what its all about! I was running mid 13's on a modified C5. It took me quite some time and plenty of practice to get quicker. But running a 13.7 back in the day gave me just the same adrenaline rush that it does today runnind 11's.

What a blast drag racing is.:-D

Thanx. The first difference I noticed between my old run (15.0 @ 92) and the runs from last night was that I was previously going through the traps at the top of third; last night, I was pretty well into fourth with stock 3.27's.

congrats, when I had my WRX I only ran a 14.2 but I was psyched. As long as it's fun.
