well guys im upgrading from my slow escort to a mustang GT. was just wondering what kind of cars will give me a good run and who i should not try and mess with!!!! i know terminator's and ls1's for sure. but now i wont have a problem with to many ricers hehe.

Many cars with mods may give your stock GT a run for its money. That's obvious. But you'll be in the upper echelon as far as average street performance and not many stockers will mess with ya. I predict you'll be adding a few mods soon after purchase, though. Catback? Intake? Maybe a tune down the road?

what year GT? 94-98 run mid/low 15s and 99-04s run mid/low 14s

Well in my slow heavy L i run with 95-98s pretty good...i get beat though just as often as i win...99-04 i dunno i can take some but most of em get me..seems like the closer it gets to 04 the more they beat me haha i love em though i wanted one but insurance is killer....good luck with it...enjoy the extra power...

dont worry about it. just drive it and have fun. be smart on the street, avoid crowds and high speeds(20+ over the limit is too fast for public roads). take it to the track to truely test the limits of your car. plus thats where the knowledgable and friendly guys and gals will help with all your questions. :beer:

Try some S2000s, 350Zs, and SRT-4s. Those should be some good races.

well already got in a race with a 2000 GT. beat him by 2-3 car lengths and then rite after that raced a lancer V111 and stayed even with him until 110-120 and then styarted to pull. not bad though i thought
