Rumor has it POTUS will talk about his plan for guns today.

Apparently 150 CEOs are calling for universal background checks and a nationwide red flag law as well

Trump may want to tread lightly on this for fear or pissing off a large amount of people

Right...what's to say someone cant or wont call in and say you are a threat because " they dont like you" or want to **** with you, or because they know you're a Trump supporter

Oh dang, I totally forgot tonight was when that ****show was scheduled. We need an updated bingo card now that some of the nutcases have dropped out.

I wonder if Kameltoe is going to PMS on Creepy Joe again.

They planning on repealing the NFA?

Universal background checks is going to make Christmas tougher for a lot of people. Who here has given or received a firearm as a present? My guess is nearly everyone who grew up in a rural area.

They're going to dog pile Joe.

Yeah, hope they don't pass a law that is universally ignored. With the BG check and red flag laws, it will all be in the wording.

    Yeah but,
I'm amazed at the number of gun nuts that aren't registered voters and exercise that right.
Or, not being an NRA member/supporter. Yeah I know the NRA has problems but who else is sticking up for the 2A?
Time to circle the wagons & put the money where the mouth is! And vote!
Ask around, you'll see what I'm talking about.
We stumble out of ignorance and/or non-support and they will win.

If they repeal NFA, the ATF will have to send me a big fat check for all the tax stamps I've paid for and yet to receive. 3 years, 9 months now. Everyone that agreed on 41f is an idiot, plain and simple.

On the topic of universal background checks, that's another topic where I find myself stuck in the middle. I'm all for background checks on new purchases but it becomes an absolute mess with transfers. I always recommend doing a transfer at an FFL just to be safe. Anything beyond that is an infringement, in my opinion.

The really scary part is red flag laws and background checks that involve mental health. In today's bleak society, look at how many people wander around depressed. Very few people are satisfied or happy with life. According to some proposals, anyone labeled as depressed, bipolar, etc would be barred from firearm ownership. That's not being adjudicated mentally defective, that's simply having a common mental illness.

NRA IS the big dog on the block. Like them or not they have the clout. You have others such as GOA, I'm a member of both, but they do not have the pull that the NRA has. Who did SF just name as a terrorist org, who are the dems railing about at the debates, etc. So you can say screw them they have been to wishy washy on some compromises and have terrible upper management. Problem is there isn't anyone else with the clout. The one Nick posted I have never even heard of.

I am for once interested in a political debate, considering it has to do with our rights as gun-owners.

Let's see what happens and maybe try to keep this thread updated.

Need to make a ton of POP for the debates tonight....too bad I will not be watching but can't wait until the low lights and see Dumrats spew their fossil fuel agenda BS in the energy capital of our country Houston. No doubt the anti gun commies will be out in full force tonight to cry about gun control and Beto the bozo wants to take them away. A real shit show it will be.
