I just had a motor put together and I'm getting close being able to start it up. I made a few changes. Raised compression to 9.5:1, 98 cobra cams, egr delete, went from mac 1-5/8 to kooks 1-3/4 headers and 2-1/2 to 3" midpipe. Would it be ok to start the car or should I wait and get a base tune for the changes? What plugs and gap should i use? I've always used ngk tr6's

If injectors, intake and maf are the same you'll be fine for a start up and probably a test ride.

As long as fueling hasn't changed you'd be alright to start it up, and check for leaks etc, and let idle. However I would NOT drive the car with the modifications you've done without a proper tune.

They are the same. Think the tr6's gapped around .025-.027 would be ok?

That should be fine, just don't go into boost.

AFR will be fine as you should be in closed loop at low loads. It should allow you to test the car for any issues.

No issues at all starting and driving it as long as you dont get into it much. What you changed wont effect it enough to cause issues idle/mild driving.
