The new Kodo styling looks terrific on the next-generation Mazda6 and will be the first model to feature i-ELOOP, the brake-energy regeneration system that uses capacitors and can store more energy, faster, for stop-and-go driving with the use of lighter-weight capacitors! :)

If they made a speed 6 version that looked a little more agressive with wheels and a drop in black, that would be awesome.

The past Speed 6's looked much better and more aggressive than their base-counterparts, so I have no reason to believe that this one would be any different...

Is it on the same platform with the Fusion still? CD3.

The new Fusion(2013+) is based on the CD4 platform. As far as sharing it with the 2013+ Mazda 6, I couldn't tell you for sure.

I really like the looks of the new 6 and with a few cosmetic changes, it will be a slick ride.

Looks nice! I was just behind a current generation 6 and was thinking about how TERRIBLE they look compared to the first ones.

What's the difference between that and the regenerative braking system Toyota/Nissan had in their hybrids since 2007?

I'm not thrilled with the current Mazda6, but that 2014 looks really nice. My wife was a big Mazda fan for about 10 years. Seeing this new gen, she might be now tempted to go back to Mazda.

I read that they trimmed a bunch of weight off of this one compared to the previous gen. No more V6 model either so I also hope that means a new MS6 is on the horizon. Would make a great daily driver.
