So I was on the phone with Fred the other day and we have decided to go with a new project. They're finding me a Ford Gt Aluminum Block along with the Heads.. They will then send it to L&M and get all the internals made and assembled there... Ill use as many of my existing engine setup as I can. Right now this is only in the beginning stages but I will try to get some more info up as soon as they find some of the parts and start putting things together for me. The plan is to have everything done by the end of winter/beginning of spring. Thanks again to Fred, Chuck, Kent and everyone else @ Evolution for helping me out and making my dream GT500 come true!

How much better/stronger is this swap than the motor you have in the car now? I'm sure this is gonna be an expensive swap so I'm just trying to figure out how it's worth it for the $$$? Or is this just for the weight savings, which I still couldn't justify it for the cost?

You do realize that IF Ford puts out a 5.8 that nothing from the older mod motors will work on them.

4.6 to 5.4= .8 liters
5.0 to 5.8= .8 liters

It will most likely be a taller deck 5.0 just like the 5.4 was for the 4.6.

2013-2014 Shelby GT500 Mustang To Have 620 Horsepower?

"Word is that Ford wants to counter Chevy's upcoming 550hp Camaro ZL1, which is said to begin production in early 2012, by boring out the 5.4L that currently resides underhood to 5.8L (351ci). Of course the new displacement will add a few ponies but what will really wake this engine up is the new supercharger that will be bolted to it. Supposedly Ford will replace the GT500's 1.8L Eaton M112 supercharger in favor of a much more powerful 2.3L Eaton TVS unit which, very interestingly, is the same one used on the ZL1 Camaro."

Dunno how credible that source is considering the M112 was the 1.8L from the 03-04 Cobras and the GT500 has a 2.1L M122?
