I have an opportunity to get a new GT350R or a new 2016 GTR.

The trade difference for my 2011 Shelby from the two dealers is the same. The GTR is being discounted and the 350R has a considerable ADM.

I curious which one you would choose and why?

Get a GTR. The GT350 at the end of the day will still be a mustang. The GTR is an amazing machine. Feel free to PM.

If the GT350R was at msrp, I would jump on it. But I wouldnt give an extra dollar to a greedy dealer. Go for the discounted GTR.

I would have a hard time picking between the two honestly.

Pro of GT350 is a MANual tranny and a V8 to shred tires when you want it to.

Pro of GTR is its technology and ability to make every part of that car work for it.

Both look amazing, drive amazing, etc.

GTR is still "just a Nissan" doesn't make the GT350r any less amazing.

I'd take the shelby as automatic and awd makes me fall asleep

Another upside of the GT350 is that parts likely wont cost much more than standard Mustang aftermarket.

So if you are looking to mess with it, thats a check for the Mustang.

We all know the GTR upcharge for even simple mods, because GTR.

Lol, let me guess, you've drove at least 4 GTRs and all over 1000whp.

You drive a GT350 and I'll drive my GTR right beside it and you'll see the difference. I have a GT500 as well dude, this is an unbiased opinion. The cars are in two different brackets. (Waiting to hear all the stories about how they drove their friend's friend's GTR and it sucked ballsack.

This is very true. However, just a tune wakes the car up tremendously.

If you plan to mod it for street duty - GTR. If you plan to keep it stock for shows and or track days, 350r. Also don't forget a new GTR is coming soon.

Haha! Awesome. Miatas actually are a great driving experience. But at 6'3", they're a little snug for a long period of time.

One important thing to note: The GT-R is a more expensive car marked DOWN, the GT305-R is a far less expensive car marked UP.

Both cars are awesome. For exclusivity, get the GT350-R. For the best all around car you also wouldn't hate to DD, get the GT-R. Good luck!

Not even kidding, people don't even understand what cars are about anymore, the only people I see driving pdk/auto cars are people who care more about status than the actual enjoyment of driving.

I would 100% be happier in just about any manual rwd car than an auto.

I do however understand that in this day and age people think if you buy the auto you are immune to losing races
