New to me '12 GT500

Hello, I'm chiming in with the GT500 I just got. I have missed the forums. My '04 Whipple Cobra was wrecked in September and it helped me get this one. 15k on the clock, SVTPP, Nav, and recaros. A dream for me. It's not as raw and tossable as my Cobra, but I'm enjoying every aspect of the car.

Congrats!! and being in Florida it looks like you will get some immediate seat time instead of having to lust over it sitting in a garage for 5 months like the snow birds.

Your starting with a good platform, Perfpack with 3:73 gears, Recaros and hold onto the strut tower brace. No longer made, worth some $$ now a days. Sold mine for $650.00

Not as raw as your Cobra? Probably not in it's stock form. Switch that blower out, start getting on track to 700+rwhp and it will completely change the demeanor of your car to violent. Hmu if you want me to spend your money lol.

Congrats! These cars belt out 650-700+ whp with ease once you swap to a trinity blower (or better).

They are VERY fun cars.

I’m unsure honestly, it’s always been at BMP. Pissed me off that it’s not, I usually go and set up with a buddy who’s dad owns a detail spray and such.

We know these cars well.
What are your goals and budget?
We like to spend other peoples money fast around here!
My advice: drag radials (Nitto RIIs) or Toyo R888Rs, shifter and blower swap.
You’ll have the most fun with a 2.3 TVS at 700rwhp on the street.
Once you do those you’ll find its a new car.

Awesome! Congrats. You got yourself one nice performance car there. Very similar situation to mine back in the day. Sold my highly modified Cobra for a bone stock 07’ GT500. The Shelby felt like a total dog. Added 3.73 gears, 2.50” upper pulley, CAI, and a tune, and all was right with the world. Really woke the car up.
