My cuz had one a long time ago like when they were new and put rims and exhaust on it and it was a pretty cool car. I'll post pics of his when I get a chance. It was black also.

Looks great!
What are the performance specs on these cars?
I've seen them on the road before and I've wondered how they would run against my 96 Impala SS.

They made around 280 if I remember right but they ran well being a heavy
Car with a tall gear. I had a Taurus sho 5spd around the same time
He had the Lincoln and the sho could barely pull it by like fender to half a car.

They all have the B head version of the DOHC, but for some reason I believe they rated the LSC versions at 290 HP.

This one in particular has some work done to it, 2400 stall, 3.73's, tuned, 100 shot (haven't tried the nitrous yet....I'm warming up to it), some exhaust work and a few other small things.

My 93 mark with just a shift kit and a one wheel peel ran 14.20 all day. It was a sweet car!

My parents bought one new in '96. It was an LSC. Thing ran damn good for a pretty heavy car. Would fly on the highway.

The coolest thing about the gen2 97/98 is the antenna is built into the rear window. No stick or little dumb stub like new cars anywhere.

Nice car though, start reading the Lincoln forums, these cars are a mess, Haha.

Thanks. I've been lurking on a few of those forums for a while now. Luckily, the previous owner was a master ford tech and has redone alot of the suspension work.

Nice!! Oh, I also spy an MN-12 Cougar, out on the street....lol

Yeah, I haven't gotten any pics since she got home on Friday. Those are from the 4sale add. I plan on getting a few with the stang once I get some wheels on her.

Yeah, those are from the 4 sale add. We'll see what I can put together once I get some wheels on her.

I just picked up a 97 mark VIII and it is awesome! Mine has been totally converted to standard suspension right before I got it so no more big $ being spent on it, lol.

Rims and exhaust are done. Only thing left now is the stereo. Maybe next year she'll get a bit more power, but for now I'm having fun crusing her around:
