New valve covers?

I'm going to have kurgan Motorsports install some of their cams in my 03. It's a project car and I want a pretty engine bay .as part of that, I want ppowdercoated or Painted valve covers.

So, I figure the best course of action is to buy some and have them coated before kms gets the car. I did some searching and karkraft.com isn't a thing anymore.

Where is the best place to buy some new covers?

I just picked up a nice pair on ebay. Freshly powdercoated for 250.

Are the covers the same as any 99-04 4.6 covers or are they specific to the Cobra?

Specific to cobra and FGT given larger cam gears in these motors.

I dont believe the cam gears are different on the cobra just the pcv location and shape.

99-01 cobra covers work but the pcv boss is shaped different. Mach 1 drivers cover has a sensor at the pcv location that has some holes in it.

All 96-04 DOHC covers with COP (coil on plug) will work. PCV locations will vary. Simple fix is a longer rubber hose.

I run Lincoln valve covers on mine. Most people do not even notice. The PCV is in the back on the passenger side head I like this better because it cleans up the front of the head. Function the same as stock cobra covers. I ran a longer hose to the PCV for years before adding breathers and deleting the PCV.

Here they are fresh from Powder Coat before I hydro dipped them.
