You can make a logical argument why it's unethical but who t f wants to pay for even more deadbeats' to have kids?
Government needs to stay out of people's choices completely. Thats the part people dont understand. You cant cry about the Government all in your business then beg them to stop people from making there own choices.
Agreed, but you are not understanding the viewpoint of the other side. It is a life from their viewpoint - and the ramifications of that make your viewpoint of getting government out of it a moot point. Same way we have government intervene in child abuse - should an anti government interventionalist not care about this? Not trying to tell you what to think - just pointing out the mindset on the other side of this. In their mind, it is probably the one thing that they believe government should do - the protection of its citizens lives.
There is no easy answer, but forcing the government involvement. history has shown only makes issues worse. The downside from the otherside view is that they cry about not wanting to pay for someone else's baby that they can not support themselves for whatever reason that is. I understand the other view point the issue is that can not see the otherside. We currently have a huge homeless problem, have a huge issue with broken families, huge issues with foster care. Yet instead of trying to fix any of these issues we want to create more of the problem and magically expect it to go away. I personally do not believe in adding to the problems we have but instead slow down the massive issue since we clearly have no plan to actually fix it.
Totally agree, but once you accept this, it starts getting into a very weird conversation. Right before birth ok? Right after birth ok? After heartbeat ok? This is why many pro abortion people don't like to talk about timelines of when it would be acceptable. I mean really if we are valuing a life vs. the cost to society, there are a whole bunch of people that need to be eliminated. Is the unborn baby less valuable than a convicted murderer...? A seemingly impossible situation that will never be resolved...
I 100% agree with the government not being involved in our lives, however it is a moral stance that I hold about abortion. It should not be allowed and the places that participate should not be receiving any federal funding at all. People need to start having personal responsibility. If you can’t afford to have a kid, wrap it up or get snipped.
I understand the moral understanding. Lets be honest as society we do not value life over cost. Anyone that believes anything different is blind to reality.
Or maybe there are just too many people already here, so since 'Rona didn't make a big enough dent, we should just let people do whatever they want.
It's not my place to tell a woman what she can do with her body. If a woman want's to electively amputate her limbs because she thinks it looks cool, I don't care. But we can't let this argument be made emotionally, we must look at the science. A fetus has its own DNA and is not a part of the woman's body. If you can be charged with double homicide for murdering a pregnant woman, why is it not homicide to kill the fetus only?
Plenty of examples out there of kids born to moms who do not want them... they usually become shitheads. I understand the POV that it's life but we've got too many welfare turds on this planet as is. If they have to keep all these babies, it just accelerates us towards real-life version of the film Idiocracy. Think broad strokes, is society safer and better off because of abortion? Definitely.
