are there going to be any correct sized NT05 street tires for the rear of our shelbys? 285 40 18. if not what would be the best dry traction street tire? thanks

There is no offical word from Nitto regarding their NT05 in size 285/40-18. Given that their NT555R, NT555, and NT05R are produced in this size, I imagine they will eventually release the NT05 in this size.

An excellent street tire to look into in the 285/40-18 size is the Yokohama Advan Sport. Here's the link with more details.

How about the 285/35/18? Would those fit ok on the stock wheels? My car is lowered on Eibach Pro springs (1.5 / 1.7) so I'm not too concerned about increased fender well gap.

And would the 295s even be an option on the stock wheels?

285/35-18 would work but you are loosing 1" in rolling diameter which will throw the gearing and ECU OFF.

Tire sizes 295/40-18 and 295/35-18 wouldbe better choices but are not recommended for a wheel narrower than 10". Your OEM rear wheels are only 9.5" wide.
