Ha ha, reminds of a trip to Disney world.
When the kids were young, we went to Disney world. Everyone wanted a churro. Told my youngest, about 8 at the time, to hold it close to his chest. He didn't and a seagull took the whole thing. He did not get another one.

I couldn’t have handled that kind of emotional stress at a young age. Carrying around a helium balloon gave me child-like paranoia. Had to have my parents tie the string in a knot, and even then I still got stressed out holding my balloon.

If birds came to take them away, I’m not sure I could have recovered.
