So are you just out thousands of dollars in engagement rings or do you keep using the same one?

My first engagement ring I purchased was $26,500. The second one, $2,500.

Even though my 2nd wife is worth a billion times more than my ex wife....I wasn't about to spend that much on one again.

Diamonds and shit is one of the biggest scams around, you’re lucky if you could get back 1/3 of what you paid for it. The ex gave the rings back and for what they’re worth now I’m tempted to just launch them into a lake or something

I want to say that’s real real similar to what I paid.

My mistake was that I wasn’t making 25,000 a year when I bought it. Thing was close to 1/3rd of my bring home for a year.

On second thought, better a third making 25,000 than a third making what I do now…

Maybe take those engagement rings and start a business. You could rent engagement rings. "Hey baby, let's just see how this feels for a year or two". Then, once they find out if she's too crazy or not, they can get a real ring or kick her to the curb.

He’s still way ahead financially than if he’d married them!

Fun fact. In Texas, Engagement rings are not community property in divorce since she acquired it prior to the marriage.

I bought a ring with the intent to propose on a trip to Cabo. She ended up acting like a spoiled **** and I decided against it. We broke up shortly after and I had to return the ring.

You will never experience the amount of pity humans will exude than when you return an engagement ring.
