Yes and no. I quit smoking during Air Force Pilot training. I know it's a little different than running for president, but it was the most stressful time in my life.
It should get a lot easier pretty soon. After about 3 weeks, most of the physical addiction goes away and you only have to deal with mental/habitual cravings.
Alveolar damage caused by smoking is pretty much permanent, so hopefully you kept your lungs in good enough condition to handle the decrease in efficiency when you age. GL
I agree, it is making a big deal out of nothing, but I remember seeing news stories on how Bush started drinking again while he was in office. So they did try to make a big deal out of it at one point.
i had to quit dipping during basic training. with so much shit going on, i didn't even think about it. i started back up during tech school, though. lol.
I'd bet he'll be smoking wherever he wants to!!!
When the Democratic primaries started I think every news organization reported he is heavy smoker.
I bet you the old boy smokes more then we think.
He actually spoke about this on many occasions publicly. He made a promise to himself to quit when he started campaigning and he did. I guess you're one of those people who never gathers any real information, huh?
