I was adding to list that gringo posted.. One incident that resulted in a death.. No big deal tho I guess.. Sorry for having an opinion

Yeah, I know you were adding to what he said. I was responding to what you said. That's how forums work. Sensitive much?

Jules' death, while tragic, didn't require a fundamental redesign of F1 car cockpits to quasi-open cockpit. It was an over-reaction, just like when Indycar added those stupid rear wheel pods in reaction to Dan Wheldon's death. It's open wheel, open cockpit racing, and it comes with certain inherent risks. I think it's stupid for them to alter the foundations of the cars when there are safer forms of racing for people who don't want to accept those risks.

Is that an artist rendering? Because that livery looks nothing like the official press releases that I’ve seen.

It must be a rendering

Same with Ferrari. They made it redder, and Mercedes..well, it looks the same. The FW41 from Williams looks pretty much the same too.

I don’t ever expect anything ground breaking from Ferrari and Mercedes. And with Williams being teamed up with Martini, you pretty much already know what to expect. But McLaren is supposed to be reinventing itself this year. I guess I was just hoping for something... different.

I will say that I like what Renault has done. And we will still have to wait on the real livery from RB to be released, as the one featured will not be the one used according to their press release.. Which is a shame because they hit it out of the park.

I get the Mclaren livery. It goes along with this, but in an open wheel car.

I think this... for 2018 looks much better than the 2017 on the bottom.

I have the real deal that my father-in-law and I made. I am down to three quarts though and starting to panic..

After we got rid of the heads and tails, We cut it down to 120 proof. From there it is great to sip on or mix. I also cut a few quarts down to 80 proof and added watermelon to some and blackberries to others. If you people only lived near me, I could teach you some things about cars and booze.

My uncles on my moms side make it, one tried to give me a still for my 12th bday, mom went apeshit!

I’d definitely take you up on it. Most of my uncles have passed, last one is suffering from dementia, recently had a stroke, so I won’t be getting any shine, tips, recipes from him. I don’t care for the shine my cousins make.

Sooo much better than the stupid ****ing halo:

I expect F1 to move to something like this ASAP. They get sensitive about Indycar looking better than them.

Not sure if anyone here follows Indycar, but their season starts up next weekend. I'm stoked as hell to see the new car in action. Finally....no more stupid rear wheel pods! They're back to a proper looking open wheel race car.

I think I’m going to try to follow it this year. The non-oval races at least.

Indycar is too much like Nascar for me. Just an open wheel version of it in any case.

This. This right here. I am still flabbergasted at how the FIA and F1 landed on the Halo. If they can eliminate the distortion for an F-16 cockpit, they can do it for F1.
They landed on the halo because the drivers were complaining too much about the glass messing with their vision.
