I see F1 is taking a book from NASCAR for fly-overs during the anthem.

Once ESPN pulled their head out of their ass and realized Eddie Cheever and Scott Goodyear were not commentating on this race the Sky F1 feed has been great.

The RAAF has been doing C17 flyovers for a couple of years, definitely a page out of Nascars book.

Aside from the announcers being annoying as **** about Seb gaining position during the VSC.

Lewis took advantage of the VSC twice last year but it's easy to forget when your guy is hindered rather than helped by it.

I really think what would help the ESPN broadcast is having a host like Fox does with Formula E. Someone to send to commercial and then welcome back and say "while you were gone..."

I think what would help their broadcasts is getting people who don't sound like WWE announcers with British accents.

God, I wish Speed channel was still around.

My television was pretty much locked on Speed back in the day. Loved the variety of racing. It got a little too NASCAR heavy near the end but I still miss it.

I thought Australia went well. Sad to see the HAAS double retirement (I bet that pit crew is getting hazed on the reg now). But glad to see a 3-way fight at the top and a double points finish for McLaren.

The Halos looked awful. But if I’m honest, the most visually offensive thing during the broadcast was Vettel’s hair. #TooRichForBowlCuts

Man oh man....poor Kimi. If he didn't have shit luck, he'd have no luck at all. There wasn't even anything wrong with the car, and he had to retire.

Ferrari has to be pissed, too, because they gave up a crap ton of constructor's points for nothing.

Hope that crew member heals up, though. That was a nasty injury.

I am glad Bahrain is over. That GP in particular always puts me to sleep. I don't know why, especially this year with everyone being more competitive. I am really excited for Azerbaijan. I really like that course. China is alright, But the rest of the races after Shanghai are where it is at. The we finish at Yas Marina... Eh, that is another track like Bahrain that puts me to sleep. I know they pay a lot of money to F1 and FIA to be the finally, but the new owners need to really look at moving that around.

Got off shift his morning and drove straight home to watch the race on the DVR. Most exciting race in a while. I was on the edge of my seat almost the entire time. A ton of passing, great mid-field action, and the Vettel/Bottas battle at the end was incredible. I agree with @HISSMAN that Bahrain can usually be a bit of a snore but I thought this year was fantastic.

Gruesome injury to the pit crew member but that doesn’t fall on Kimi at all. All the people calling him cold and calculated clearly don’t know him. He’s there to race. Nothing more.

And when was the last time 8 different teams scored points in a race?

And... DOUBLE POINTS FOR McLAREN AGAIN!!!

Mclaren is definitely doing much better with their new power units. Absolutely insane they got beat by Honda power though lol. Congrats to Toro Rosso, with how excited they were you'd think they just won the championship. Killer effort all weekend.

That little battle between Seb and Bottas was intense. I really want to drive that track.

I'm starting to root for Seb and I don't know why, I never liked the guy and wanted him to win just so Hamilton wouldn't. He did a great job keeping those tires alive, after the Red bull years I always used to think he could only win in a 100% perfect car but I think he might be a more rounded driver than that.
