There is nothing more infuriating than being on commercial break and seeing a crash or crucial pit in the minimized screen with no sound. Props to Mother's Polish.

Everything that I’ve read since Bahrain is saying that Vettel won in Melbourne due to a rare and fortuitous misstep on AMG’s part but Bahrain was 100% all Vettel with no misfortune on anyone else’s part. And while I agree that Vettel’s drive in Bahrain was point perfect, do you guys think that he would have beaten Hamilton had he not gotten he grid penalty?

I understand that Seb can only race what is put in front of him and hypotheticals are all but meaningless. But I’m just trying to get a feel for everyone’s true pace this year.

It would've been a legit fight between them imho. Neither of them is driving away from the other this year.

Verstappen needs to die in a fire. Seriously.

And every time Hamilton gets on the radio, I want to shove my fist down his throat. Does he ever do anything but complain?

I’m officially off the Verstappen band wagon. I’ve always used words like brave, exciting, and fearless to describe him. And even though everyone has been saying it, I’m now seeing that he’s nothing but stupid, foolhardy, and reckless.

Ricciardo has a brilliant drive and RBR’s pit strategy was flawless. Those 2 double pit stops were perfectly executed.

And honestly, China was Ferrari’s to lose. It all started to come undone when they left their drivers out FAR too long before their first stop. The Bottas undercut was the dagger that changed everything.

I agree with Coiled. Both Hamilton and Vettel are insufferable on the radio.

Overall a very exciting race. And I have to say that, so far, every race this season has been fantastic.

That's my thought, skill wise they are pretty much equals. Though I think Hamilton maybe a little more aggressive in his willingness to really go all out, right on the edge.

That ended up being a very exciting race. Max Had Vettel right where he wanted him. One more lap, and he could have passed him anywhere. Sometimes I just shake my head. That was a last lap sort of move. Even then, he had the remainder of the track including the second DRS zone to make the pass if he had just been patient.

I actually think Vettel is maybe slightly faster given equal equipment, and I have no doubt he's a more complete driver. He's had to build a team from the ground up, namely Red Bull, similar to what Schumacher did when he joined Ferrari. Yes, Adrian Newey had a huge hand in doing it, too. But still, you can't take a team from basically nothing, to a multi-time champion unless you're fully capable of providing detailed feedback to the race engineers and factory designers. Add that to blinding speed, and that's a complete driver, IMHO.

Hamilton, meanwhile, has had everything handed to him since the day he arrived in F1, and really, starting before that when Ron Dennis cherry picked him from the lower ranks. Yet, he still has the gall to get pissed at his team and throw them under the bus on the radio, and in interviews, when things don't go the way he wants. He's so insecure, it's really unbecoming an F1 champion.

I'll be honest though, Hamilton's crew did screw him over by deciding not to pit.

Surprised Seb was so lax about Max.

It's making it a lot harder to not be a Seb fan, I'm beginning to root for the guy.

Amazing call by Redbull on that pit. Always happy to see Daniel do well.

They are both insufferable twats. I have never cared much for Hamilton, though used to like Vettel, till the business with him and Webber, ruthless little ****.

Agree. In this case it was justified. But, it's pretty much a weekly occurrence, him bitching at his team.
Agree.

If he doesn't win you hear about it.

I really ****ing don't want him to win another championship. I hope Daniel goes to Mercedes next year and becomes the golden boy.

Also, I flipping hate how they do the races now with the commercial breaks and delay. I have watched the races life for years and listened to the team radios through the F1 app.. Well, that shit is history now.

Anyone listen to any F1 podcasts or anything like that? I found 3Legs4Wheels Formula 1 Podcast last and really like it. Just looking for more suggestions.

If you're just looking for generic racing podcasts, not F1 specific, Dinner with Racers is pretty entertaining.
