Is UB still active? I messaged him but maybe he’s not here currently.

I have a 15 GT with OPG/sprocket and Whipple stage 2 but otherwise the motors stock. I’m trying to decide between switching from Amsoil XL 5W-20 to either (signature Amsoil) 5W-20, 5W-30, 0W-40 or what. Cruising, a few drag passes a year maybe, mostly highway pulls or just living in the torque curve when there’s no one around. 93 pump gas, about to be dyno tuned when I add some long tubes in a few weeks.

Curious what the gurus feel is best, especially since Amsoil just updated their additive packages.

Only thing I'd feel uncomfortable with on the coyotes is the VCT and if the oil viscosity is really important?
I think I, switching to Mobil Euro 0w40 as it's easy for me to find at a great price from local MB dealer and showed great results in a testing page I liked.
I've been running Amaoil but not sure worth the hassle for frequent E85 changes.

What power adder? Supercharger or Turbo?

In my Armageddon TT 2014 GT I had to run Amsoil 5W-50. 10W-30 was too light, causing a tapping noise at low rpm. I guess the turbos were taking away too much oil pressure at idle and right above idle. I'd suggest using 5W-50 at your intended power level.

If you don't have oil fuel dilution issues, there is no need to change your oil more frequently than if you were setup for gasoline. Only an oil test will be able to tell you that.

Bumping to top, haven’t seen UnleasedBeast in a while.
Another member asked about the oil thread, would be nice to see new data/options.

Can I ask what are the advantages of lower viscosity such as Amsoil 0W-40? Does the thinner oil get up in the main bearings more efficiently on a street driven, occasional drag race , Stock with FBO's? A shop once told me the thinner viscosity revs up faster. I was not too convinced of that.
