okay guys, this is a weird one.

the following video is the result of my chasing an oil leak forever. the valve cover gaskets were replaced first, followed by the oil cooler 'o' rings. the video enclosed revealed that the exhaust manifold bolt closest to the camera is blowing oil bubbles at me. you are looking at the bottom exhaust manifold bolt. the top manifold bolts are all dry. the car was running and warmed up. i was under the car while it's on a lift. as it is a '99, the engine was redone by ford shortly after is inception. she has 150K on her.

what's up with this?? two experienced mechanics are scratching their heads. strange theories abound. anyone make any sense of this phenomena?
thanks
bob

To me it looks like the oil is coming from the port itself. If that's the case then the valve seals are going to need to be replaced. What do the plugs look like in those cylinders?

the last time i checked, they were fine. i'll look again.
wouldn't the oil get burned in the combustion chamber? there is no smoke at start up.
