Oil Pressure Fluctuations From VCT System??

Does anyone know if the oil pressure fluctuates a little when the VCT system kicks in??

I installed an oil pressure gauge and was surprised the pressure is so high...100 PSI cold start and 90+ PSI above 4K RPMs hot....WOW!!

At around 4K RPMs the pressure bounces around a little at 85-90 PSI and just wondered if it's due to VCT kicking in??

Both my cars have cold starts at 100 psi, and getting on the throttle will ramp it up like your saying, it's normal.

I understand that but when hot at around 4K RPM the OP gauge flutters about +5 to -5 in the 90 PSI range then stops fluttering above 4500 RPM....otherwise it's very smooth!!
