I see more and more of these kits throughout miscellaneous forums and YouTube and they seem to be doing quite well. Although, I'm a major Borgwarner fan vs whatever On3 uses (Master Power apparently). Has anyone added different turbos within their kits?

Fantastic. Do you like if the dimensions towards other turbo manufactors bolt up fine?

don't get sucked in by their low price. I wud recommend u do some more research before u buy one of them kits. mite save u the biggest headache of ur life.

the hardware that comes with the kit is absolute junk! I helped a buddy install one of these kits on his 2011 Mustang last year and wen we opened things up it was like opening up a knock-off erector set from Walmart smh.... I still smh wen I think about it today.

the WG and BOV were cheap Chinese crap which lead to an exhaust leak and never did seal correctly and was eventually replaced. intercooler was just some generic Chinese IC that does wat any other junk Chinese IC does.

the fact that u have to upgrade the Turbo's really doesn't make it a good deal from that point alone!

fitment was over just horrible! all kinds of exhaust leaks that had to be repaired. extensions had to be welded on, modify clamps to make shit fit, etc.... smh

I think if u spend enough time and chase enough Gremlins u will get the kit figured out as many others have.

if you want a quality Turbo kit that literally blows any other kit out of the water then order a CPR kit. otherwise, look for a used kit from a decent manufacture.

Thanks for the write-up. It's true, I was debating on this based on price, but since you've had first hands on this kit and still says it sucks means a lot.

I've heard another but great things from CPR, guess I'll just have to save more money :/

    Thanks man!

it's a great kit for the price. We installed it on our 2014 shop car and with 9 psi ran a 9.7 @ 140 mph. Stock motor, stock 6r80, Circle D 3B converter and JMS transbrake.
No issue at all with fitment. We also installed it on a 2012 last week, no problems at all.

Really? I haven't swapped out mine and don't plan on it unless they fail. Turbo's, waste gates, and BOV all work perfect for the 6 months I've had mine on the road.

I did have major fitment issues on the driver's side downpipe however.

my car went 10.9 @ 131 on 8 psi mt82 car with a 1.75 60 foot first and only time to the track on this kit.

turbos on the kit are the least of your worries. The turbos are actually really nice.

I had no issues with the wastegates or BOV either. None whatsoever.

The hardware, on the other hand, as mentioned above is JUNK. I spent 2 full weekends chasing exhaust leaks. The leaks were all eventually traced back to issues with my install (tight spaces, all hot pipes must be lined up perfectly--hard to do).

All that said, great kit for the price if you dont mind running to the hardware store a few times to upgrade nuts and bolts.

Several people have gone 150+ mph with this kit on the stock 61mm turbos.

All in all opinions are like assholes, everyone's got one and they all stink.

One rule of thumb EVERYONE will agree on when modifying a car though

    Fast
    Cheap
    Reliable

    Pick two.

If its fast and cheap it wont be reliable.
Cheap and Reliable, it wont be fast.

And the one we all live by : Fast and Reliable, it wont be cheap.

Kit isn't the nicest on the market, but you can't beat the value for it. If you don't mind spending a little extra time on the install, you can save a lot of money. Had the kit on for about 2 years now and no complaints.

Knowing what you now know, would you go back to the On3 kit vs going supercharged? Or anything turbo setup?

I've had the On3 kit for about a year and not one complaint. Install wasn't even all that bad. I have my old Paxton still sitting in my garage and wouldn't even think about going back to it.

I'm honestly perfectly happy with how the car is. The kit is capable of more power than the motor can hold at the moment, so I can still grow with the kit.

There's a reason on3 is so cheap relative to other brands. Spend a little more for quality if you can

did the install myself in my garage and started up had no issues. no leaks, no nothing. Fitment is tight as expected but if you take your time you'll be fine. Havent had any issues so far with anything. If you want a good insight daily on people that run the kit and whatnot, on facebook go to 'on3 turbo coyotes' page and just scroll through. you'll find Robert Hands write up about the kit with install help and tips and whatnot which makes everything much easier. If anything, you can read through his write-up and see if its something you might want to tackle. FYI, Robert Hand installs/sells these kits more than anyone and knows them in and out.
