If the pcm or ecm gets bricked, will it still take a tune?
the following is my email to my tuner:
"I'm on the road. I did another test hit. Didn't get to 6500, maybe 6250. Felt like something just stopped... like belt slip or when you hit the rev limiter. Car went into limp mode and as soon as i pushed in the clutch, it died and now will crank but not start. Checked dtc and it said no codes. Got out. Checked all belts, cables ect. Checked underneath. No visible issues. Pulled fuel pump fuse, no issues. Reloaded tune v4. No change. Wife is on the way with a gerber so i can disconnect the battery. Any other ideas?"
He is saying it sounds like a fuse blew, which wouldn't surprise me at this point. before i start pulling each and every fuse and relay, my question about the pcm comes in to play.
