Has anyone tried another style of shifter? I'm not a massive fan of the bubble shifter has anyone tried a different style? A family member had an old cuda he installed the Hurst "pistol grip" style and I like it. Would it be possible?

Because the factory shifter incorporates a reverse-lockout feature, it is not possible to swap out the OEM stick for a Pistol Grip stick.
The only way to get one to work would be to use an MGW shifter. It ditches the stock pull-up-for-reverse mechanism in favor of the more stout push-down style.
