Yeah bro. That's me. Eating tofu pizza and prancing around.
Thanks for confirming my post "A lot hardcore lifters are dickbags in the gym"
Go back to slapping your boyfriends ass after a good lift.
I don't give out likes often (though many deserve one) butt that gets one.

I did some dead lifts there one day when my other gym was closed and I was told that I dropped the weights too hard...... I told the employee to go eat a bowl of dicks!

He said he was gonna call the Police. I said good Ill be waiting for them...... They arrived about 20 mintues later and approaced me at the squat rack. One of them clearly trained and was quite large!

He asked what the problem was? I said he got upset because I dropped the weight on the ground after a did a set. Well, he turned and looked at the employee and waited for his response.......

The employee who was about 130 lbs soaking wet said "Well he dropped the weight and it made a loud noise". The cop responded back..... "A loud noise?"

He went onto explain to him that yea thats what happens when u drop 400+ lbs on the ground what did u expect to happen?

The little ****** turned around and went back behind his desk to get back on gay fb page and everyone there laughed at him! It was a priceless moment in my life! The cop did tell me to refrian from calling him names tho.......lol

I was asked to leave the anytime fitness in the Houston heights area for “banging weights “ (I assume he meant making too much noise) and scaring the senior citizens

I laughed at the guy, he was wearing a head trainer shirt and weighed maybe 120 soaking wet

I know we have some regular and serious lifters and gym rats here so I'll ask if any of you know anything about this place. Apparently it's a large chain so I looked into it since there is one close to me and is open 24/7. I went in this morning to see if I could walk around for 30 seconds and was promptly greeted by some grossly overweight man. I asked if I could take a quick look and he said I needed an escort. I was surprised since the place wasn't that big(did he think I was going to steal a stationary bike?). I sighed and said okay but then he wanted me to fill out a form with name/address/phone#/email, etc. I said to him, "Dude. Can't we just walk around for a minute? I'll be able to tell right away if this is a place I want to join." He said that was not possible so I wished him a good day and left. I read up on Planet Fitness and from what I could see it caters to non-serious exercisers because serious lifters/exercisers intimidate them. I don't even recall seeing any barbells or squat racks. WTF is this a real place????

It is a place to hang out for fat people that do not work out. I have heard that the pizza mondays are dope tho

I've never understood the hate for PF. I've been a member for a long time and haven't noticed anything too weird. Mine is a HUGE gym with at least 3 of every machine.
I get its not for hardcore lifters, but to be honest... A lot hardcore lifters are dickbags in the gym, so it works for me and my wife. I don't want to hear some 300LB muscle bag grunting and screaming while I'm working cardio. The few Golds I've been to seem to be full of lifters who get so bent out of shape for the smallest things. I get it, because they are super serious about lifting, but... Really? Calm down Karen.
Its just like any rec sport. It can come with a lot of elitisms. Go to a fancy gun range, golf course, tennis court, car show, or just about anything and a lot of times you are greeting by people looking down their nose at you or taking their hobby way too serious.
Just my .02

It sounds like you are the target market for PF.

Well I get pissed off when people drop dumbbells. I can bench with 100's without ever dropping them. There is a technique, it's not difficult. I was taught that 16+ years ago when I first started lifting.

Also if I do cardio I will use the equipment at the gym. If you want to go for a run when it's 100* outside and 80% humidity I'd say you need your head examined.

I enjoyed the PF that was less than 5 min from my work because I could go over the lunch hour and it was only $10 a month. After COVID hit, they permanently closed our office, so I bought my cousins weight set and now workout from home. The only issue I had with PF was a lot of times, people would hog up a space because they spent more time updating their social media page/tinkering on their phone vs actually lifting.

Build yourself a home gym on a budget and be done with people.
I had a decent home gym when I lived in Vegas but was literally forced to sell and give away all my belongings when I moved. I literally own nothing anymore except some clothes, some stereo equipment and my SUV. Right now I'm homeless(shacked up with family) but will rent a place in the next two weeks. It likely won't have a garage though.

True. There are dickbags in all walks of life. I used to HATE a lot of the elitists at high priced private golf clubs when I caddied. F'ing pricks a lot of them were.
it seems that's the key - is who owns it. They target the demographic they do because just like most of them are too lazy to actually go to the gym they're also too lazy to cancel a $10/month membership.
I read that's actually part of PF's business plan: cater to those who will hardly ever come and don't care about 10 bucks a month.

I read some PF places have a monitor of some kind that warns staff there's a banger in the house.

I don't like the droppers either, especially with the old school dumbbells that were not one-piece units like today's. The old style would get all bent from dropping. And I silently chuckle at the guys on the lat machines who let the whole weight stack drop so as to make a lot of noise so as to let us know they are there and are real men. Should have let the stack down slowly, son, so as to give your muscles a little extra work.

Planet Fitness is like Average Joe’s Gym. It’s a place for people who get satisfaction out of merely walking into a fitness facility. They have propaganda on the wall such as, “no judgement zone” and other BS. They even have a ****ing Lunk Alarm that goes off when someone decides to stop conversing and pick something up.
I got a day pass to one a few times when I went to Savannah(I’m going back in 2 weeks) and I couldn’t help but be judgemental. For people who are real lifters, or really want to feed off other’s motivation, that place is not for you.
For those of you who do go there and like it, I’m glad there’s a safe space for you to wear leg warmers and text people while occupying a piece of equipment you have no idea how to use and no intention of using anyway.

PF is a last resort for me.

Check with your health insurance. I pay $25 a month and have access to like 2000 gyms nationwide. I can increase to a more expensive plan if I’m in a town that doesn’t have any gyms on the $25 plan right on the app and it’s prorated daily.

Mine is called Gympass. There’s a few others as well.

I’ve never seen a Planet homo with free weight barbells.

Were you doing dead’s on the smith machine?

Trust me bro no hardcore lifter wants u in their gym anymore then u want them in there...... Cardio?

Bro if ur doing cardio on the treadmill that means ur fat and out of shape...... Try running outside where real men train! The GYM is for weight training. Try to wrap ur head around that!

Hi. I’m in better shape than you….and have lower body fat % than you

And I do cardio on the treadmill inside the gym waiting for my pre workout to kick in.

Try to wrap “ ur “ head around that.
