Any of you guys have any that you reccomend???

For listening at home? For use in a car to avoid police or radar traps they are not an effective means of avoidance.

For at home, get a programmable one and then find the local frequencies.

im talkin about out at the illegals so i can get a heads up to gt the hell outta there....

Oh, get a portable handheld bearcat or similar. It is just that you need to know the tactical frequency because if you try to scan through all the frequencies you will lock onto all freq. traffic and might miss the calls in time to give you a good heads up.

A decent Bearcat handheld programmable will run about $145
