Hey y'all, thank you so much for stopping by and helping me out.
Just a few days ago, stopped at a red light, I heard a rattling sound. I pulled over, pop the hood, and the noise seemed to be coming from the SC. To explain the sound better it sounded to me like a 'cat (animal) when it purrs.'
I looked at the intercooler reservoir and it was extremely low and it was not pumping. I Filled it up and it was still not pumping.
The noise was not extremely loud and it was not constant but it kept coming back every other minute or so.
I Turned the car on today. No noise even after it was completed warmed up. I Drove it around the block hit boost a little, pulled over and checked it and the intercooler fluid was still not pumping. Shortly after a few minutes of normal driving, that horrifying noise returned.
One thing for sure and from what I read so far, I will not be banging the intercooler pump with a hammer. Lol I am just going to get it replaced. Oh and I already attempted the 'jump test' to test the pump with negative results.
I have no doubt that once I take it in to my specialist he will get it fixed but my worry is that if I have been driving the car like that hitting boost, do you guys think I have damaged my supercharger? it's a stage 4 Steggy. Thank You.
Here's a clip of me at the track back in December. Irwindale CA.
