Over the course of 3 years I have learned a lot. Spent a lot of time looking outward for direction, until I got comfortable enough to look within. Stopped trying to be better than everyone else, and just better than I was the day before. Listened to what people wanted, and more importantly what they disliked. Tons of fun, a lot of late nights, many phone calls with enthusiasts, a couple mistakes and would not trade any of it. It is the natural progression we all go through.

What I present to you now is what I would call the maximum 21" fitment setup for the 2020 GT500. Showcased below are the Signature Wheel Flagship Series ONE in a 21x11 / 21x11.5, wrapped in a 315/30/21 and 325/30/21 Michelin Pilot 4S. This Flagship design is a multipiece design intended for low offset and wide body cars. Brake caliper size, suspension geometry, and fender position really dictate everything. Any two piece wheel requires a 21" to clear the brakes, as the wheel face bolting inside the outer barrel gives it a 20" inner diameter.

I opted for this mesh design with a Silver face and Polished stepped lip in homage to some of the classic racing cars. This timeless pattern speaks differently to everyone. Fitment here is aggressive to allow for the most lip possible. Negative camber is dialed in the rear to allow for clearance, and only the slightest touch on hard bumps. The front has some slight rubbing of the front fender liners at full lock due to the 315 front tire. But have no fear, a 295/30/21 or 305/30/21 tire up front would clear just fine. Less aggressive rear offsets would require no camber adjustments, zero rubbing, but result in a smaller wheel lip. Each wheel tips the scales at 33lbs each front and rear. Amazingly this is equal to the overall weight of the OEM GT500 wheels that come in at 32/35 lbs. Performance loss is something we engineer to avoid.

The goal here was to not only build the most aggressive setup, but also learn the limitations of the car. Many wheel concepts from the GT350 carry over, but testing fitments on my own car first on the street/track is the only real way to know. That knowledge is why it is very important who you choose to build your wheels. Experimenting on client cars is my last resort whenever possible, although I greatly appreciate those that want to be the first to try something new. Spending 5-6k of my own money to pilot a setup is invaluable data. I am glad to hear so often that clients appreciate that level of dedication, as these are no small sum of money.

Enjoy the pics from Austin (IG: @summit.ss) and will have more for you soon.

Looks amazing!
I may go this route on mine should Ford ever decide to build it!
I think it would work well with iconic silver.
Nice work

Great quality photos and the hard work is cool to see. The car looks awesome in that color but I'm more of a one piece/forged aluminum/concave/performance-oriented wheel kinda guy. It looks great from a show car standpoint but 33lbs per wheel is a big chunk of rotating mass. I'm just used to Viper guys talking about the factory Sidewinder II wheels weighing 19lbs up front (18x11) and 23lbs out back (19x13). But then again the GT500 is 4,200+lbs so there's that...

Awesome build all the way around. Yeah, that rear deck red, white and blue snake emblem is pretty neat.

The rotors are ****ing heavy on these cars, i read that theyre 42lbs each, not sure about the back tho. Part of the vipers recipe is the smaller-ish wheels. you can put 18s in the back too.

@50 Deep, any plans on getting the R model? Too bad you can put a 19 in the front. Some of the wheels from forgeline can fit an 18" on a 390mm brake rotor. I know these are much bigger, so maybe 19" would be the lowest if possible?

Very true.. the wheels actually look pretty big though because the car is so small. Not many people realize the Viper is shorter in length than a 911.

I remember when a 19" wheel looked huge on a Terminator. Now we have Mustangs with 21s that look great proportionally.

That rim/tire combo will be a skating pond going down the hi way! U need a Drag Radial. Ur kidding urself thinking those tires are gonna hook if u plan on making any real power with basic bolt-on mods and E85.

Looks amazing Terrance. Awesome car, also your GT350R!
And the wheels,...............drool city. I need some Signature Wheels and the GT350R big brake kit in my life at "some point". Seriously,.....wow.
(I know that is not the GT350R big brake kit, but I would love to order at "some point".)

It’s heavy, but not compared to OEM. Our Monoblock Track Series designs come in at 23lbs when built in a 20x11.5 square. That’s about 10-12 lbs less per wheel than the OEM wheels. Only 4 lbs more each than the carbon wheel. We have something to meet every goal.
The size works, I'm just not a fan of this spoke design and prefer a concave look myself. Your car is gorgeous as usual though.
Concave you say...... I can go that too.

It’s one of my favorite little touches

Rotors here are super heavy. But I just got some carbon ceramic ones that arrived today. 20 lbs each up front. In regard to the wheel the 19” Track Series GT350 wheels I build come in at 21 lbs. These come in at 23 lbs. Overall the 2 lb gain per side isn’t that bad when you look at the added power. More rotor is really needed to handle the heat these brakes can generate. Between the carbon ceramics and my Track Series wheels I’m losing 60lbs off the front end. It should help a ton.

Its crazy how times change. I recall when 18” wheels on a fox were taboo..... and I think they still are.

The DCT does a great job managing the power to the tire. However, I have something for when i need to go Rick Bobby it up.
