I've got a friend with a 90 SC Bird. He ordered a 2.8 pulley and was told he could swap it with the stock pulley with an tuning, or chip. Does this sound right? I told him he needs a chip, he says it's not needed.
He'll should be ok. The stock tune is really fat. He will gain the most down low tho. Up high it will start pulling timing due to high IAT or knock sensor activity.
