I'd like to bring it out of the top.

I've always pulled them out of the top. It wasn't bad. Just make sure everything is unplugged. I usually start checking wires when I start to pull. There's a good chance I've missed one somewhere.

I pulled all the stuff off. Super charger etc. I removed the transmission and pulled from the top with a cherry picker and leveler. Pretty easy.
