Question for Mac Owners Using iMovie

How do you import video into the application? My movie files are .MOD how can I convert them to whatever it is that iMovie wants to use?

Glad to help. By the way, my daughter is pretty proficient with iMovie. She uses it all the time. She just did a great movie (photo compilation) for my granddaughter's 18th birthday.
