Race Ramps. Or cheaper equivalent???

I received a prepaid MasterCard for xmas and would like to buy some quality ramps.

My question is whether or not there is a cheaper equivalent which include the extenders. The Race Ramps, with extenders, will cost me around $500 shipped. Is there something about these that make them better than anything else offered?

Those are very clever, but way to big and heavy for my needs. I need some portability too. Nice write-up though!
