Hello everyone I am currently starting the planning process of doing an eaton swap onto my Mach 1 and had some questions on the lines. Do most people just swap the lines from a kit because it is the easiest option? Can I make my own custom lines to use otherwise? This seems like it would be easier and cheaper then trying to find some used ones.

You can convert them over to -an fittings if you can weld or know someone that can weld.

If you’re referring to the hard ic lines that bolt to the front of the motor. Yes you can run regular heater hose to get you from point A to B to C and D etc. and not have to use the factory hard lines.

Depending on what you decide to do, I may have a full set of ic hard lines laying around if that’s what you decide on. Definitely not necessary though and they are actually more restrictive than say 3/4” heater hose. You just have to make sure you route the heater hose so there are no sharp bends or kinks in them.
