Radio question

I'm a bit ignorant when it comes to car electronics. I'm wanting to upgrade the stereo system. I'd like a sub. My question is what the hell do I need? Lol. I don't have the stock radio anymore but the speakers are still the same. I'm not wanting to spend like $1K, Id just like something decent. What all would I need? Just a sub and amp? How much should I expect to spend? Thanks.

Depends on the quality of the stuff you want to put in. sub. sub box. amp. amp install kit would be a start

Just get yourself a decent sub and amp. MTX makes a ThunderForm series which is pretty nice and doesn't take up a lot of trunk room. You can get them amplified with everything you need for a decent price. They won't give you tons of bass but they fill the sound very well IMO.
