Beautiful truck. If I pull the trigger I am looking for on in maximum steel myself.
If I had waited I would have went with that or delmonico red as shortly into 2019 they started offering the full color matched trim, sport hoods, and blacked out emblems and moldings lol.

I just didn’t want any chrome.

I also will add one highly criticized item is the rotary shifter and I have grown to love it. The extra space in the center is something I use regularly

Damnit guys I gotta stop reading this. I work across the street from the CJDR dealer and I'm staring out my window at a Rebel parked out front. Makes me want to cross the road when I get off and make my wife angry with me

Subbing as I’m looking for a used Rebel or Big Horn in the next year or so.

Not me personally but a good friend of mine had 16(?) Rebel and it was great except for multiple trips to the dealer for the air suspension. He got it Lemon lawed and bought a 2019 Rebel without the air suspension.

As a point about the air suspension, the system was revamped for the 19+ and I’ve yet to see anyone with any real world issues at least in the ram groups on Facebook.

largest issue I see is the AC being weak in the summer though ram has a warranty fix for the 19 and 20s that are still under warranty (new hvac unit) and 21 on comes with the new system. Something to keep in mind when buying used.

also there are rear glass leaks on a lot of them which is covered as well but sometimes the glass is on back order. Personally I’ve had no issues with that though and no issues with my air suspension even in winter months.

I consider myself a Ford guy but it’s really only Mustang I guess.
Only ever owned 2 full size trucks, 2014 and now 2020 Ram Laramies with air suspension.
No issues with either one, both 3yr leases.
Only thing I’d want is massaging seats. So it was between air suspension (Ram) and massaging seats (F150) on this new truck, but I’m disappointed Ford doesn’t have the air suspension option on F150 yet.
Ram interior is far superior and has the better ride on air, even with 22s (which I didn’t necessarily want, but came with the black out package).
I have nothing bad to say about the Ram other than I’d want more power as usual. I did order the 3.92 gears.

Thanks for the info. I might reconsider the air suspension now if the bugs have been solved. When I asked, he said it was a 1-2 MPG difference.

No way I’d own a Ram without air after 2 with it.
My 2014 went thru a really cold winter and was parked outside and did give a few error colds on some cold days, but no issues on the ‘20 that is now parked inside

That is one of the few things I really dislike about them. I liked the earlier column shift ones better than the rotary dial, and you had the same amount of space. The rotary dial just doesn't have a good positive feel for telling what gear you're in or going to. Of course, I'm much happier with my current one with a handshaker and even the manual 4WD select.

Also to add to what the others have said, the Rams have got to be the smoothest riding 1/2 tons out there. Extremely car like. The HDs are really stiff unloaded, but that's just the nature of the beast.

Mine is old, I have a 2008 with the Hemi. I bought it in May 2013 and have had no problems with it. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles like the new ones, but I really like it and would more than likely buy a Ram for my next truck.

But does it or are you just the typical hater like I used to be stuck in the pst making the same jokes about the transmissions
I have owned a few dodges in the past. Now they aren't even a American company. I just had no other words to describe them. But hey you are on a Ford site defending s dodge? If OP wanted to get the truth about Dodge why didn't he go to the Dodge forum. Isn't this a We love Ford and all others suck site?

Lol, you haven't been here long. Mopar threads get the most traction here.

I have a feeling you’re just trolling now. This is a svt site where often we collectively discuss other vehicles as well because we are enthusiasts and not everyone wants to only own one brand.

part of what makes this site successful is just that.

I have a 09. Bought it from junk yard when 6 months old and rebuilt myself.

SLT, 5 speed, 3.55, crew cab 4x4

Best I've ever got was 23 mpg imperial but normal is 20/21. City don't even check, it's a truck so.....

Drives smooth, awesome power.

Replaced passenger header because of common Hemi tick issue. Just replaced idler, tensioner and belt. Tie rod ends, once under recall, once to moog. Stock are junk. One rear caliper, emergency brake shoes and hardware.

Low miles, 60k.

Towed my 56 chevy on a car trailer, effortless, 14mpg imperial.

I'm a Toyota guy, it's a nice truck, and the new ones are much nicer.

I traded in my 2016 King Ranch on a 2019 Laramie. Both optioned out almost identical. The main reason I switched to the Ram was for comfort. I have degenerative disc disease (L5-S1 is totally shot) and the KR was giving me a lot of lower back issues on my long commute every day. Swapped to the Ram and it all went away. The bonus is that I like the Ram in other areas too, not just the comfort. The interior overall is nicer, the 12" screen is great and is better than Sync, I like the steering better (the KR was lighter but the steering was way too twitchy compared to the Ram), I like the cooled seats better too. Gas mileage is comparable between the 2. I put over 40K miles on the Ram in about 15 months and then it slowed way down due to Covid and mostly working from home since last March. If not for that I'd have 60K miles on it by now. No issues so far.

I'm on my second Ram truck.
First one was a 2005 Daytona rcsb truck and that was a beast of a truck. Loved that truck. Only one issue with it and that was the very common EVAP issue wit the Rams. Had over 70k when I traded it in and it still ran like a top. Great truck!
Traded that in for the 2016 Ram Sport rcsb which I currently drive. Another awesome truck. No major issues so far, thank God. Currently at 24,500 miles.
The only thing that I see that bothers me a little is a little rust on the rear driver side wheel well. Not much at all though. Still sucks that I see it at only 5 years old. The only thing I really hate about the truck is the MDS system, which I turn off every time I drive the truck. They have a tune for it, to tune it out completely, but you also need to buy a new pcm as well. That is on the 4th gen Ram trucks.

The Ram interiors are awesome. The 5th gen Rams are also awesome. Their interior is better than the F150 in my opinion.

First off you obviously have no idea what this site is really about.

Second you have offered next to nothing in the way of constructive information or experiences regarding my original post.

As the OP I am going to ask you to see your way out of my thread.

Thanks.

You see enough of them around that they are probably fine reliability wise anymore.

I do have a buddy who must have had a Cinco de Mayo build on his 16 Rebel. I think he went through 3 transmissions, an entire AC system, various sensors and even the radio shit itself.

It wasn't enough to take legal action but eventually the dealer stepped up and gave him a straight trade on a new truck, I haven't heard any problems on that one.
