Ron had to be running on pure adrenaline there.

All the safety equipment is incredible, but his internals still felt the impact. Think he was going ~260 mph when he hit the wall.

Interesting how within just a couple minutes of the crash, Ron recanted Eric Medlin’s fatal crash and John Force’s career ending crash before he hit the wall himself.

It has gotten downright stupid how fast they are going. I know the goal is faster, quicker, faster but geeze where will it end. Will they limit the TF guys to 800 feet next? How about 1/8 mile? Sheeesh

Personally I would rather see nostalgia racing where they do not have to have 11,000 horsepower to win the race. Admitted I grew up racing in the 60s, 70s. where 7 second TF was the norm. Still it was just as exciting seeing the race and pulling for your guy to win.

I never could figure out how they supposedly made like 500 some odd winged cars, but I've seen at least 7,000 pics of different ones rotting away somewhere.
I know they sold the parts to convert, but it seems there are 500 "documented" restored ones around too, lol.
